after months of not posting, I am posting. woo. so, not being in school so totally IS all it's cracked up to be. I love it. I fully encourage anyone who is contemplating dropping out of school to go for it. that's my pearl of wisdom for the day. you know what I'm getting pumped about? christmas. that's what. twinkle lights and gingerbread and festive cocktails and cheesy music and decorations and the smell of pine... and all the rest. I love it deeply and truely. what the hey, here's another little pearly for ya, learned from recent experience: Sake is best served hot. not cold with lemon. fyi. and in conclusion, here is a list of some other things that I have learned recently: 1) noodles are a wonderful and versatile thing -- served crispy, bowl-style, 'bun', stir-fried, all very enjoyable to order at restaurants or cook at home. delicious. 2) vietnamese food is a heavenly treat. heavenly. 3) 'Ginger' is my new favorite restaurant and breaking from the food theme, 4) David Sedaris is a fabulous and HI-larious author. read his books 5) if you put up a sign at your work that says "cell phone free zone", you may as well have put up a sign that says "please bore me to death with details and anecdotes illustrating how much you hate cell phones." because that's what every person who sees the sign will do, unless they are on the phone. seriously. 6) CBC has an online radio station (CBC radio 3) that plays only new canadian music, commercial free. I think I was the last person in the country to discover its existence. 7) that's all |
